Department Overview:

Our son currently travels between his parent's homes weekly, and companionship would be needed in both homes on alternating weeks. Both homes are located on the west side of Madison. Our son is bright, funny and very sweet but has difficulty making friends. He is lonely, and would benefit from someone keeping him company while we are out of the home on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Please note that we have pet friendly homes with very friendly dogs and one cat.

Schedule:

Wednesdays 5-9 PM

Thursdays 5-9 PM

Optional companionship position also needed for parttime daytime hours during the summer. This schedule has not yet been set. If interested, please let us know. The current position is not dependant on you wanting to work into the summer months.

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $18.00 to $20.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Our son is in need of a companion for several evenings a week for the next two months. Our current need is for someone to keep him company on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5-9pm. Our son is independent in all his cares, but is very lonely and would benefit from a companion that could engage him in preferred activities such as gaming on phone and console, doing art projects and perhaps going on outings such as movies, concerns or fishing.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in child care/daycare or special education background appreciated.
• Access to own car a must as we are not located on an easily accessible busline.
• Willingness to play video games and join our son in fun activities.
