We Make Life More Rewarding and Dignified Location: Libertyville Department: Research & Development Summary: This position is not on the Technical Career Ladder (TCL). The Intern performs as a member of an R&D team. The Intern conducts laboratory tests using established test methods, contributes to the execution of projects and method development, assists in maintaining normal laboratory operation, and performs other tasks as assigned. The Intern is expected to manage multiple work assignments within clearly defined parameters as directed by technical professionals on the R&D team and the R&D Manager. Hollister operates in a hybrid work environment. Responsibilities:

• Performs prescribed laboratory tests using approved methods
• Prepares samples & assists in preparing prototypes
• Creates and maintains effective and accurate laboratory records
• Maintains a laboratory notebook in compliance with department policy
• Assists in maintaining laboratory equipment and materials inventory
• Other duties as assigned Requirements:
  • Enrollment in coursework of study leading to a Baccalaureate degree in an engineering or biological science discipline.
  • Specialized skills/technical knowledge
  • Collects and records data in an organized and legible fashion
  • Basic proficiency in company standard office automation software
  • Follows quality processes when handling assignments
  • Possesses basic mathematical & statistical ability
  • Cooperates with other team members
  • Demonstrates interest in team activities and positively contributes to outcomes
