  • Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking a RN PACU to be responsible for independent peri-anesthetic management of a complex, varied surgical population.

  • Develop a therapeutic relationship by establishing trust and enabling the patient and/or family to verbalize the requirements for care comfortably.
    • Job Requirements
    • Traveler must meet all minimum requirements below to be consider.
    • Do not submit traveler who have or will have expiring licenses and/or certifications during time frame of entire assignment. Traveler will automatically be declined.
    • Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile).
    • Experience working pre/post operatively with varied surgical patient populations Critical care background required.
    • Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
    • Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
    • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
    • Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).
    • Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions).
    • Travelers are the first to float. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.

        • UW Health is moving away from using outdated file formats for Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
