Job SummaryAs a Produce Team Leader at Whole Foods Market, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership to the Produce team. This includes ensuring the team delivers outstanding customer service, maintaining a positive work environment, and achieving sales and purchasing targets.Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Holds ATLs, supervisors, and team members accountable for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Team Leadership: Builds a positive work environment, makes hiring and separation decisions, and monitors team performance.
• Operational Excellence: Maintains proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control, establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with department leaders and vendors.
• Knowledge and Skills: Sustains exceptional knowledge of competitors and industry trends, demonstrates advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, and inventory management.
• Communication and Coaching: Provides timely and thoughtful performance evaluations, consistently communicates and models Whole Foods Market's vision and goals.Requirements
  • 24+ months retail experience, including 12+ months of team leadership experience.
  • Food safety certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team-building, and customer relationship skills.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance and managing inventory.
